brown spots on sword plants

I have small brown spots on my sword plants some come on as very large spots that almost covering the plant leaf.

What is going on and how can I correct this situation?

I have 6.5 P.H. R.O. soft water, discus essential trace mineral supplement added, also use Flourish according to directions 0.07-0.01-0.37 84 F, CO2 injection, I did use substrate heat for a while but found it raised the water temperature to 86 F. I understood when I purchased it that it would not, but mine sure does. Your help would be greatly appreciated in this area. Steve

Swords get their nutrients through the roots, Flourish wont cut it. You need to stick some root tabs in the substrate to feed them properly.

Swords can pull enough nutrients out of the water column to stay happy, but like buck mentions, root feeding would be ideal. Do you know the Nitrogen (NO3) and Phosphate (PO4) levels in your water? Try using Seachem's root tabs for micronutrient feeding (these sustain a healthy plant without promoting excessive growth), while Jobe's or Miracle Grow plant sticks will promote rapid growth and tons of leaves.
