Could this stress my fish out?

So all my tanks are in the same room (actually all on the same racks), pretty much the living room. That being said there is always someone up in my house till at least 2:30am, thus the room light doesn't go off till then. Can this stress my fish out because this light is on? Does it inhibit them from getting enough "rest"? I know this may be a strange question, but it is something I have been thinking about for quite a while as this has been the case for as long as I have been keeping fish.

Hello fish...

For fish to be healthy, they need fairly consistent periods of light and dusk or low light. If they don't get it, they won't be as healthy as they could be. Lighting effects how they feed and reproduce.

So should I try and get everyone to turn the lights off earlier?

The fish are fine. It's not worth worrying about.
