New begginer fish

I was reading in a magazine today where they talekd about minnows living in Lake Minly near Death Valley. This is supposdly the most stressful enviorment for on Earth. water tempatures range from 32 F to 113 F and flucutue as much as 45 F a day. Salt verys from none to twice that of sea water. And on hotdays the oxoygen can drop down to 1 part in a million. Some of the spieces are also colorful. I think this could be a new begginner fish.

I believe they are also an endangered species, so they wouldn't be available to the general public for purchase or collecting.

I believe so too. Many of the desert species (e.g. pupfish) are either endangered or protected, so I wouldn't even think about it .

You need not only a license to own these fish but to breed them. A Papal Dispensation is actually easier to get than the license to own and breed these endangered fish.
