Opinions on JBL water test kit

Hi guys. My choice of equipment here in the middle-east is fairly limited. The only test kits I can buy are individual seachem or JBL ones (expensive) or this comprehensive kit: https://www.jbl.de/?lang=en&mod=prod...detail&id=6601

Does anyone know if these are good quality? Accurate? Easy to read?

Setting up my new build this weekend.

The API freshwater master kit is 25 dollars and has all the tests you need

Thanks but that's not available for sale here in Qatar. I could order one for delivery, but it would take a while. I assume I'd want to do some readings in the first week or two?

I'd say you could go ahead and order an API test kit and wait for it. If you are doing a cycle, it'll be a bit before you'd test for anything other than ammonia, and even then, likely at least a week before you'd even see that.

If you are not using seeded media, and doing a fishless cycle, you have plenty of time for a delivery.

I believe the JBL kits are a better quality than the API tests. They are certainly more available in Europe and the middle east.

sera also makes good kits and is more readily available across the pond.
