What Brand of bleach do you use?

What Brand of bleach do you use to disinfect items or tanks related to aquariums?

I have not used my 75 gallon in 10 years however it did have a disease outbreak which is why I shut the Aquarium down to begin with.

I am not sure if it could survive without water for 10 years however I'm not taking any chances.

My concern about certain types of beach is other chemicals added which may leave a residue inside the tank. For example, I think splashiness bleach has a chemical commonly found in launder detergent.

Is there any particular brand that is just bleach with a minimal of other chemicals and if so, where is it sold??

Just get unscented At the grocery store and rinse until you can't smell it anymore

Clorox regular bleach is fine.
No fragrance and no splash-proof additives.
Guessing 3.8% sodium hypochlorite.
Believe 1 capful to 1 gallon provides about 250ppm chlorine content.
This will kill all molds, mildew, yeast, etc...

Since the bleach we want is just chlorine and water, I go for the cheap stuff. The Wal-mart house brand is cheap and contains nothing but chlorine and water, that is one way to go. Read the label when in doubt and you may find some a bit stronger like 8% instead of 6% but that is really not a big factor here. If you have a jug on hand look at the label for what it might have. It's only a dollar or so but no need to buy a new jug as it does go bad with age and a gallon will last a really long time for tank cleaning.
