670-gallon planted tank

The tank was custom-ordered from Fishtanksdirect, and it took 2 months from order to delivery. Excellent quality.

Ridiculously awesome. I see a 125g and I have to have it. Then I think, well, why not go 180g instead. Why stop at 180g though when I could just go 300g. Now I want a 670g tank...

The tank is impressive because it's big, so you have to give them a lot of credit for that. It also is impressive because it is a planted tank. At the same time, I didn't feel the aquascape or the fish selection was anything all that special. Many of the members here have much more impressive tanks, if much smaller. Don't think that bigger is always better.

The price from Fishtanksdirect was 70% of what a couple of local Dallas places quoted me. The tank dimension is 120 x 40 x 32". I did not want the height to be above 32" as it is much more difficult to aquascape the bottom. And I want more depth to space the plants better.

I am still stocking up the tank; currently quarantine elephant nose (8), panda garra (10), cardinal tetra (60), all species of Stiphodon gobies. This is my third tank; the other tanks are 300-gallon and 150-gallon. I love veil tail angelfish, especially koi variety. This tank is setup to require as little maintenance as possible.
