Plants: a bit of this a bit of that mixed in with some how in the hell did that get here.
Fish: silver mollies, angles, rainbows (dwarf, australian and boesemani), cory's some odd snake loach and a CAE that eats only fish food and some otio's that i go weeks without seeing and a pair of blue gouramis.

I tried to use the hornwort to hide the filter exhaust but it didn't work they just keep floating everywhere so i might ditch that idea and do like i am with the bocapa at the intake.

Bah not so bad for a Friday.
If you plant a sword, you could hide the intake, the heater, the exhaust and even you magnetic glass cleaner LOL

Haha, I was about to ask the sane thing about goldbricking. Never heard that before. Tank look alright though. I like the simple clean look. That wood is a not real wood, is it? If so, that is a nice piece IMO.

I always heard it applied to the boss man's favorite but thought it was a military term. I might have assumed it referred to the gold leaf on the collar. Kind of funny to see it applied to folks on the computer too much!!

I like your style! I've often wondered how my tank was planned. Got any nice upright wood like a small, tall stump to cover the intake, etc.?

Goldbricking is a term us old folks use, it refers to doing anything besides work when all you should be doing is working.

Wood is super fake.
A sword would be a good idea, it could cover that area nicely, thanks for the idea.
No stump, i have an awesome hollow stump that i am saving for my 120g but nothing small enough to not overcrowd the 55g.

Just use a black background.

Or if you could go the even costlier way make a DIY (or buy a expensive one) 3D background wall with cutouts, shelters and all. Maybe even build in ledges to grow plants in!
