Promoting our Hobby, the best way

We have almost 30,000 members, of whom 166 are signed on right now, but of that number only 7 have been willing to part with $10 or more to help a poverty area elementary school in North Carolina add some pizzazz to the students education. The method that the school wants to use is to use planted aquariums, very small ones, to teach about the interdependence of life forms in nature. https://www.plantedtank.net/forums/lo...r-schools.html is a thread I started, hoping that we could help that school by paying for the equipment they need to do this.

Surely there are more than 7 of us that feel as I do, that children's education is the single most valuable thing we can spend money for, and building our hobby can be done by hooking even the very young on just how fascinating planted tanks are. It isn't like we each need to donate a lot of needed money for this, just a mere $10, less than a typical swap n shop transaction costs, from only 18 more of us will fully pay for that school's program.

So, who wants to join the seven of us who are now the "lonely seven"?

If you're interested in helping kids in NC, I'd love it if you guys would check out this organization:

http://www.n2noutreach.org/

I put a lot of effort into this organization, and over the last decade+ it has really taken off. I have seen first hand the powerful impact this group has had on the community. Scratch that. I've seen the results of this program on one kid at a time. If you've got a minute, checkout the website, and you can find them on facebook as Neighbor to Neighbor Outreach if you want to learn more about what we do.

edit: Just to be clear, I'm just a volunteer/champion. I'm not one of the people who made it happen.

Thank you very much! Only 17 more needed, and we will have done a very nice thing.
