Collecting wood concerns??

Should u stay away from anything in particular?

stay away from conifers, like pines and such, and just about any soft wood for that case.


easy test take a piece that has been cut or broken if you can leave a mark in the exposed wood with your finger nail its probably no good.

Old dead aged weathered wood that is dense is best.
Does not matter what is in it at that point.

Soak well, scrub etc, and then use.

I have soft conifier woods, Redwood, Cedar etc.........never any issues here.
