How hot can the water get before java moss dies?
I ordered some java moss maybe 3 weeks ago, and i paid 25 dollars including shipping. For my budget that was a lot of money. Anyways, when it arrived i tied it to a rock and tossed it in the betta tank, but i had a lot left over. I decided to take a few of the guppies and toss them in a bucket with the moss and put it outside for good light because i will need a lot of it in a future tank. It had been doing really well, never going over 80 degrees, the fish were happy and the moss was growing. Yesterday i forgot to put up the shade, and when i got home the water was really hot, all the guppies had cooked, but the moss was still kinda green. My question is, should i put the moss in the betta tank, or will it all die and make a big mess? The water i pulled it out of was like bath water.
