Before and after: 75g Planted tank 3 weeks after adding co2

Just wanted to share the effects that co2 has had on my tank. Here are two pictures, one is of three weeks ago, the day before I setup the co2. The second picture is of the tank today, approx 3 weeks later.

Ok, now which is the cO2 pic??
LOL, just kidding! Tank looks like it will need a trimming soon :-) And thats a good thing!
So, I guess the real question is - did you think the cO2 would make that much difference when you hooked it up?

I see you got your 2 circulation fans in. Helping?

Honestly I didn't really believe it would, now seeing how my plants react I would never go back.

I hear ya. Now that my system is running smoothly, I have no intention of going low tech.

Nice! Make sure you keep an eye on the nutrient levels. The last thing you want are the plants talling after getting good growth.

Also try exploring small mid ground plants to add some volume to the bottom of your tank.

This falls right in line with my own experience with CO2 as well. There are some really fantastic looking low tech tanks on here, but generally I've only seen a small handful over the past few years that can achieve the dense growth, carpeting, and colors of a CO2 injected tank. I certainly didnt have a green enough thumb to pull it off low tech. Nice progress. You're gonna get tired of trimming real quick. I actually just tossed a few hygrophilia species entirely from my tank because they were simply growing too fast with CO2. Substrate to surface 20" up in under a week. Gets tedius. I'm favoring slower growing stuff now but the CO2 still helps really bring everything to life

Well I got sick of trimming a long time ago with my low tech full of stems which is why I have no stem plants in my tank.

My plants consist of multiple crypt species, aponogeton species, different swords, and a few ferns.

All in all I may have to thin some plants out here and there but I dont think it will be too bad. Either way, with how great the plants look now compared to before, I am willing to do what I have to in order to keep them healthy.

Wow, I'm impressed. I'm running a ray2 and planted plus on my 75 gallon and just started dosing EI and I was wondering if I had enough to be high light.

Lol, your for sure into high light. 1 planted plus is med light at the depth I got. You are going to want to watch for algae issues with that much light.
