Indian almond leaves

So I went to Key West, and was lucky enough to find some catappa leaves, but they are still green. How do I prepare them for shrimp or betta breeding? Thanks in advance.

Dry them out until they turn brown. Then you can just throw the leave in the water or make a teabag out of them.
