Non c02 dosing

Just want to make sure I'm on the right track after being out if the hobby for a while.
Tank - 29 gallon gravel substrate with tons of mulm in it, Finnex Planted Plus 24/7 for lighting. I wanna keep it low tech and not run c02. Basically just wanna make sure my dosing will be ok. In the past I used seachem equilibrium, kno3, and KH2PO4, per the non c02 dosing guides. However my gh got really high. So this time around I was thinking of using Flourish instead of Equilibrium, along with KNO3 and KH2PO4 and just doing top offs with tap to get the calcium and magnesium. Does that sound about right? Or am I missing anything?

Yes, you are on track. Your light is a bit to much for non-carbon tank. Raise it up off tank to lower the intensity. I agree with you on the equilibrium, it's better suited for reconstituting RO. I use TMG in my non co2. Tap for top off as well. Good luck.

Thanks Mooner. Right now the light is about 4 inches above the water level, but I'm running it in the 24/7 mode, so its not too intense of light all day long. If it turns out to be too much though ill add some floaters or a glass top. I'm not familiar with TMG. Is it like Flourish? Also are you dosing KNO3 and KH2PO4?

Right o on the light. Flourish and Tropica Master Grow(now Tropica plant nutrition) are similar. Google to find comparison. Yes, I dose KNO3 and PO4 per non-carbon rates with few WC's over time.

Also, IMO, fill the tank with as many plants as possible to start with. It can be done with fewer, but more headaches getting it balanced.

Yeah I've got it packed. I don't have any room for any more plants. Thanks for the info on the other.
