EI dosing

I finally got my dry ferts in the mail. And I thought I would know how to mix it all up, but now that I'm looking at it all I am completely lost!

How do I know how many grams of each to add? And how much water? I have a 29 gallon tank

I received:
KNO3
Plantex CSM+B
MGSO4
KH2PO4
K2SO4

Also, I have a 5 gallon tank, would I be able to use the same mixes for both tanks but just adjust the doses accordingly?

I've been doing this for two years and don't completely understand the introduction on here about making a solution of parts of it. But the amounts I understand so I
started with what they suggest and adjusted from there.

This thread has easier recipes for mixing solutions than the one Ray linked (both are full of useful info though)

If you want to dose both tanks out of the same mix, probably best to use the 10 gallon recipe and use 15 ml in the 29 and 2.5 in the 5 gal.

You could mix for a 30 gal, and dose like 1 ml for the 5. But 1 ml is pretty tough to measure, or at it's least more inconvenient trying to get just right.

Awesome thank you!!

So for right now I think I'm just gonna dose my 29 gal and if things are good I may start my 5 as well. Everything seems to be growing just fine with the liquid ferts in that one so I don't wanna mess anything up!

So these are the measurements I should be using for my 29?
10ml/29 Gallons
KNO3 67.123 gm (approximately 13 teaspoons)
KH2PO4 10.224 gm (approximately 1 3/4 teaspoons)
Plantex CSM+B 42.028 gm (approximately 9 3/4
Optional: K2SO4 26.91 gm (approximately 4 1/4 teaspoons)
Dry Dosing Optional: K2SO4 547 mg (approximately 1/16 teaspoons)
KNO3 1.3 gm (approximately 1/4 teaspoons)
KH2PO4 204.5 mg (approximately 1/32 teaspoons)
Plantex CSM+B 841 mg (approximately 1/4 teaspoons)

How much water should I add into my 500 ml container I got with the kit for these measurements?

And I was planning on doing mon/wed/fri macros and tues/thurs/sat micros, with Sunday being 50% water change day. Does that look okay?

All that looks OK.

What I do is fill the bottle about halfway with hot water, then add the ferts. Shake that up good. Fill it the rest of the way up, shake some more.

So you want to fill it up to 500 ml no matter what measurements you're putting into the bottle or how much you will be dosing?

My thought process was if you put too much water you will be diluting your doses, or too little water you will adding too much ferts with each dose?

Those doses probably (I would assume) are calculated for using precisely 500 ml of water. So if you want to be exact then adjust accordingly.

Personally I dont worry about it. Over or under doing it by a small margin is not going to make any difference. That is the beauty of EI. It adds plenty and 50% weekly water changes balance it all out.

Of course down the road you may find the need to tweak one thing or another. Like extra P for gsa, etc. But for practical purposes to begin with just being in the ballpark is fine.

I also have a 29g that I started dry dosing back in February. Use the link that Burr gave and alter it to your needs. It should be used as a guideline as each tank will be different. Potassium is usually the first to have to be adjusted and I had to increase mine.
