I don't know what a platinum rummy nose is, but it sounds cool.

I've grown fond of what I know as golden neon tetras. Mine are pretty milky white with a striking blue line and blue-circled eyes. Love them. Crazy contrast to green and red of my tank.

If I had to pick one, it would be rummy nose tetras.

However, why not pick several different species and have a school of each? Select ones that live at different depths. In my own tank I have red tailed rasboras (not a tetra, I know) that live near the surface, rummy nose tetras that seem to like the middle, and black phantom tetras that seem to like the bottom.
