Driftwood, when is it safe to use?

I just bought a pretty nice piece of driftwood for my nano aquarium. After boiling it several times can I just dump it in (this is pre-cycle I'm just starting my first tank)? or do I wait for it to dry before filling the tank?

It's African Mopani driftwood in case that has something to do with it >.>;

I don't think you have to let it dry... it will just get wet again, when you drop it in the tank

It will XD , just was wondering if it would release something due to it still being boil-wet. Ah well, I shall just dump it as soon as it's done cooking then :P.

Thanks for the help :3 !

let it soak in a bucket of water until the water stops turning brown. it should take a week or so

maybe, put it in a bucket over night and see what happens. regardless, It's safe to put in the tank, the water just might be a little brown for awhile

i pored boiling water over DW and let it sit over night, changing it every day for 3 weeks. i was still getting brown water but when i put it in my 20 gallon it didn't discolor the water at all.

Maybe the boiling water "sets it", by taking away what's most likely to fall and discolor the water n.n;
