No matter what I try, the plants just keep dying on me.

It could be the lighting to low of a light for some very high light plants, It could be the ph of your water choking them out. Also plants need food and the ablity to breath which would be CO2 like Wasserpest said. a number of things

I'm afraid it's a fert imbalance... It's getting an overdose of reinforced aluminum alloy and motor oil, and doesn't have enough condensed steam. You just need to get some dehydrated condensed steam, dilute it with water, and add it to the tank.

I think your suffering from insufficient light penetration into your tank ... you might try opening the hatch more often

Wrong plant choice, you need an epiphyte.

I was thinking more of a Iron overdose. Aren't most tanks built out of steel or Titanium? But the motor oil, your on to something there.

You guys are all wonky.

It's obviously an amphibious tank and it's being killed kept in an inappropriate desert environment.

The plants are fine- but you need to take care of your tank, for crying out loud!
