Hi Planted Tankers.
I have had a couple planted tanks for less than a year. I started with diy everything, and doing everything wrong, and thanks to nice places like this I read a lot and learned a little bit about the right ways to do just about everything I was screwing up.
The question I have for you all, is where can I get a cheap bottle that doses out measurable amounts of liquid ferts. I make my own macros and micros.. and while I will surely automate dosage at some point... for now I am using a syringe, and it's a pain in the neck. I know there has got to be a place to get a cheap pump bottle that squirts 1ml or something like that, right?
Oh, here is my 75 g. It's got garden soil under regular gravel, pressurized c02, 14 species of plants, some ghost shrimp and some pretty standard fish. I dose on pps using a recipe someone showed me on thsi forum. thanks
Those pictures are rom a few weeks ago. I have chopped out the vals, and added a few kinds of ground cover to see which does best in my situation.
My other tank is a 10g bba farm that doubles as a reservoir for a hydroponic system growing basil in a nearby window. Its all an experiment, but it's fun and it's working. I'll post some photos of that if I ever get the algae cleaned up.
Thanks for your help
