PTF = Holy Grail

Hello all, i am new to planted tanks and of course had questions. I was browsing YouTube when i found a video of Tsukiko Amano teaching a class. In this video he recommended this forum and website. WOW, i am so glad i found this place.

I just wanted to say hello and THANK YOU! This place is FULL to the brim with in depth help and insight. Even subtle questions i had were easy to find and you all saved my fish and plants from a beginners mistakes. Also the amount of helpful links to suppliers and such is a gold mine of information.

I was already becoming obsessed with the idea of obtaining a beautiful tank/tanks like the ones pictured here at this site, but after finding this forum i now know i will become a life long PTF member and tank hobbyist. I will definitely become a donating member very very soon.

Thank you all, you are THE BEST hands down!!!

I'm glad you find the site so useful. But beware, you may get a case of MTS (Multiple Tank Syndrome) like many of us.

ha!

Nice to have you around, jesse. You'll no doubt learn all sorts of great stuff about planted tanks - things you didn't even know you cared about!

Welcome!

PTA member? I agree, parent's need to be more involved with their children's education, we must never forget to ask "Is our children learning?"

That's right, mac, children is important, especially their education. "You teach a child to read, and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test."

Some other classic Bush-isms:
Reading is the basics for all learning.

I think we agree, the past is over.

I know the human beings and fish can coexist peacefully.

You two are bad. For all those who read from here, I believe the OP meant PTF not PTA.

Welcome aboard Classic!! Do not be swayed by those jokers. Think of it as an initiation.

P.S. Bet you'll never make that mistake again though... hehe.

Yes, it's like frat hazing. You should thank us for keeping the paddles and fifths of whisky in the cupboard and only bringing the wit out.

No, actually this forum stinks. No matter what your question is, our answer will always be: "YouhavetoomuchlightandtoolittleCO2" Strikingly, this is the correct answer in 99.9% of all cases...

Welcome, classic, always good to see fellow Portlanders!
