Purigen Regeneration

Okay, so i did everything needed to regenerate the purigen. The bleach, prime and then i put it in the acid buffer solution which i used vinegar, and while doing that i fell asleep and it stayed in the vinegar solution for 6 hours to long. It doesn't smell bad but is it okay to reuse this now.

Soak it in water for a bit, swish vigorously.

I usually skip the buffer step. I go from bleach to water, and lots of it, then I dry it out.

I usually let mine soak in Neutral Regulator (buffer solution) until I'm ready to use it. I asked Seachem about this and they said it's ok to do this.

That's what I do too. I've regenerated one twice now. It does not lose all it's brown color but seems to really still work well.

Can it be regenerated over and over again without limit?

I believe Seachem pegged the approximate number of regenerations to 8 before it needs to be replaced.

I have found that using RO/DI water instead of tap helps keep it from getting that slight brown tint before it goes back in the filter.
