Is it ready?

I think our 55gal tank is finally cycled. We took another reading of the water parameters: ammonia - 0, nitrite - 0 and nitrate - between 5 and 10.

I think that means we're finally cycled, yes?

If that reading remains there for a few days straight, yes.

Sometimes if you have a lot of plants, it can throw off your reading and give you the impression that it is cycled when it actually isn't.

Well, I'm off to bed, have a nice night.

Oh... Well, we don't have any plants in there yet or fish. Just rocks and drift wood and the raw prawn that's been helping with the cycling. There isn't anything that should be throwing off the readings.
