White stuff in tank. What is it?

I've had the lights off in the aquarium to get control of an algae problem, and tonight I turned on the light and found this stuff. It's mainly in one corner, but there are a few spots on leaves and on the glass.

Any ideas?

That's the little known species "Albino Nocturna". heh heh

I don't know what it might be. I've never seen anything 'white-ish' in color like that in my tank.

I would, however, siphon it out if it isn't sticking to the plants too badly. It's hard to tell from the photo; but, does it look like it's 'growing' or is it more like a precipitate?

I don't know of any leaves that turn into a milky gooey looking white, plus its covering some of the healthy leaves in the picture

Didn't realize it was gooey.
