Dip petco tube plants

Is it nec? Talking about plants that com in the tubes in some sort of gel? Thanks!

I would rinse in tap for sure. Not sure a dip is necessary. Be careful with bleach 20:1 can kill softer plants.

Should not be needed. It is my understanding they are kept pretty close to sterile, and certainly have been nowhere near an aquarium to have picked up fish diseases or parasites, or snails. A good rinse in tap water ought to be all it would need.

Yeah, the goo itself makes something of a mess if you don't get it removed, but most of these are tissue culture plants which are supposed to be raised, well, not sterile exactly, but not in a wild environment.

Not at all true of plants in pots where stores have them in their community tanks (i.e. sharing a sump with everything else in the store).
