Is this too much?

I want to add 3 rainbow fish to my tank. I'm worried about the bio load. I have a 55 gal that is planted. The fish I currently have are 3 angelfish, 12 neon tetras, 2 corys, 3 killiefish, and 5 nerite snails. I have a ton of plants. The new filtration is the fluval c 4 . Do you all think the rainbow fish would be pushing it?

What species of Rainbows? I think the bio load ought to handle any of the Rainbows just fine. But some will get along with your other fish better than others.

Boes are good. I would keep them in a ratio of 1M: 2-3F, and you could get 3+ of them 2M:4-5F is good, then you get to see the males show off toward each other. They are generally fairly social, not too argumentative. They compete mostly by coloring up and showing each other the colored band on their head, in front of their dorsal fin.

If you buy them young they will not be very colorful, and it might be difficult to tell M from F for a while.

Before you add anything else, i would also get another 4-5 cories, as they are a schooling fish that should really be in schools of 6+
