Roots for the tank

Iv been looking around for some bogwood for the tank and i find the root pices are really nice ok there not overly priced but if i have a little trees and some bushes to take out the garden could these be used if so what would i have to do to make them aquarium safe

Sounds like a great idea to me if you have the patience. Diana reports that repeated soaking and drying help it age faster. I know that dry branches with bark will lose the bark after a week of soaking but I haven't taken green wood through the whole process myself.

Small shrubs will make for great wood. The currently popular spiderwood is from Azalea bushes!
