new setup

Just setup my new light and filter ( aquaticlife 24" t5ho and a fluval 206)
Its a 15 gallon with 9 neons, 3 emerald Cory's, clown loach, 3 sword tails, clown pleco, 20+ghost shrimp, and a dwarf Mexican crayfish. I also madey own spray bar since a 206 output would beat up my plants. Tell me what you guys think!

Your mix of fish is pretty good. The only thing I would point out is clown loach will get pretty big and will not have enough room. You could get rid of him and buy two more cory's. They like groups of five or more.

About the spray bar for your 206. I would like to see a photo if you have one I'm using the same filter and would be interested in making one myself.

This is the spray bar, I used a 2'x1/2" PVC pipe. A 1/2" diameter was a
perfect fit for the stock connectors on the 206, it greatly reduced the flow. If I used the spray nozzle that came with the filter it word beat up all my plants.

You can see the loach on the right. I will probably move home to my 150 gallon when I set it up. And if your wondering I'm only keeping that internal filter until the 206 is cycled.

I'm wondering how you connect the pvc to the 206 tubing . How big of holes did you drill in the pvc?

It looks great. I like to use schedule 80 pipe because it comes in gray and may be little less noticeable. Thanks for sharing it.

Good job, it is fun to work with PVC if you can just find bits that are the right size. You could also paint the PVC to match the background color of the tank.

I used this thread to figure out the size of the holes for spraybars. https://www.plantedtank.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=88225 Sure was a lot of calculating but flow did seem about the same from each end of the bar which is the whole point. You can always drill holes out a bit larger if you like as well.
