Got feed up with ugly dosing containers

Like the title says I finally got feed up with the ugly empty juice bottles, milk cartoons etc I was using to hold my fert solutions.

I headed over to the dollar tree see if anything jumped out at me and found these.

There supposed to be those little dispensers that dot near the stove and hold oil or vinegar but to me they seemed like good containers for ferts.

First I had to label them, paper, sharpies, and packing tape worked well. I wrapped two of them in white duct tape to keep the light away from the csm+b and the flourish. Click image for larger version

Now for dosing I just pour the needed amount into one of those little dosing cups for measuring cough syrup and dump it in the tank.

Thanks for the look at your idea. As I do dry, I wanted a short fairly wide mouth jar
so the measuring spoons would fit well. And yes the smaller spoons from 1/4 tsp down.
But the sharpy idea...my pen didn't write well on the masking tape. Guess I'll re-do
them/w a sharpy...thanks...

The shortest distance between any two points is a straight line...in the opposite direction...

Funny. I was just there yesterday morning and I saw those. I was looking for containers for dry fertilizers though. I ended up buying several 2qt containers they had which was way to large for me. But for $1, I won't loose any sleep. If I start premixing my solutions, I will definitely remember this post. Thanks for sharing.

Those are some good ideas, if I ever switch to dry dosing I'll be sure to remember these. As of now my dry ferts are just in bags under my stand

I use the 1 liter plastic containers with built in 30ml measuring cup from Greenleaf aquariums. You can get larger 1 gallon versions at amazon but those are too heavy/awkward to pour.
