Learned a few things on planted tanks

So I have been set up now about 2.5 months. I switched out my kitty litter mixed substrate and replaced with#2 silica sand. Mixed in some natural gravel and added some root tabs. Increased my 3watt crees up and down over the weeks until now I'm comfortable with them. Chose some good algae eaters and do regular weekly water changes. The plants are looking really good. Bacopa just started to take off after 2 weeks in there. Algae no longer an issue.

What I have learned is patience and let the tank settle with the plants. Plants need TIME to adjust to everything that is going on. I understand there are many variables but I guess once you have those things in place........time will do it with the plants. My 2 cents.
