leaf variations in submerged marsilea minuta (bi lobe aberration pics)

marsilea is a neat ground cover im getting three leaf variants off the same runner all submerged growth generations removed from the primary plant.

id never seen bi lobed growth maybe it's common and I missed it

look at the cellular furrow developing in this bizarre submorph of the bilobe variant

you never know how this plant will change in time

the tank is ei dose heavy and extra gas

hard life for a shrimp

for sure, submerged mm does not revert to mono lobe variation. it is continually variable

Hi brandon429,

Possibly not Marsilea minuta but rather Marsilea hirsuta or Marsilea quadrifolia? My Marsilea minuta seems shorter than your picture and only once in a blue moon will have a bi-lobe leaf.

That may be the case I'm not best at plant Id but it came from excellent seller on here and it grows on lateral runners. Quad is more bushy and quite taller these are 3 inch max height in my other tank, up to 8 inch shoots

I put full stamp its three variations off one m minuta

This started when I upped the gas over norm

I just read on another forum that marsilea lobes can vary with lighting. Lower light means fewer lobes. I realize its under the same light but par can vary alot in diffrent parts of the tank
