CO2 Impatience

Hi all
I have just set up Co2 in my 90g,it has been 3 full days.
I have a huge crop of established Bronze Cryps, java fern, and some
Anubias which are surviving well just super slow growing.
How long does it usually take to notice a change?
I am doing small DD with dry ferts.
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-30ppm

Look for pearling first. Not really important but it sure is a thrill to see. If you aren't getting pearling then turn the CO2 on about an hour before lights go on. Still no pearling? Then twitch the needle valve open the merest amount on a day when you can watch the tank for several hours. I have gassed fish in 5 minutes and in 8 hours so stick around! Still none? Perhaps the lights are a bit too dim. Lower them, clean the cover glass perhaps lengthen the lighting hours.

The fat growth will come in time. I don't remember how long that took.

I also noticed that the green fuzz algae stopped forming on plants but since new growth was always fine I probably only noticed that after all the old leaves were gone which probably took a couple months.

Those are all slow growing plants, even with co2, though it will help, you're not going to notice much in a timespan of a few days.

Thank you both for responding,I've kept the tank as an almost
0 maintenance low tech tank for almost 4 years now, everything was stable
,no algae at all.Two weeks ago I decided to step it up a few levels, longer light cycle (8hr) started ferts, and CO2,now the tank is out of balance ,green spot and some BBA growing on all the old growth.I know I have shocked the ---out of it so it sounds like I should have a few more months of patience.
I have a drop checker coming in a few more days so that should help.
I am going to prune off some of the old growth to physically remove some
of the algae.
No pearling yet,it is set at 2 bubbles per sec.

Isn't pearling just a sign that the water is fully saturated with oxygen? I might be wrong but if the plants are looking perky and you can see the new growth I wouldn't worry too much about pearling, especially with slow growing plants like crypts and anubias.

Unless your bubble size is M&M size... On a 90g, the bubble rate is usually so fast you can hardly count them. If you have stronger lighting, even crypts, java fern, anubias will pearl nicely. It takes about a week for plants to fully adapt to new conditions, and when they do, algae will slowly diminish as they get out-competed.

you might want to get some easy indicator plants, that will help you know what's going on in the tank.

Once you get your CO2 level up, you should see a difference in a week or two, Take pH readings to see where your CO2 level is.
