This floating plant just appeared in my container pond lol

I have a litte 15 gallon container pond with Lilly's, duckweed, anacharis and no fish. I went outside to see how it was doing and I see these floating plants that look a lot like duckweed, but more greener and they were EVERYWHERE.

I have no idea how they got in there. They couldn't of hitch hiked with new plants because it's been about 6 months since I've added new plants. They have roots and everything.

What are they? I don't really care, but I'm just curious on how they even got in there. Will post more pics if needed.

Thanks

I agree that it looks like azolla, which can turn red. Is it kind of fuzzy and soft/spongy? (Not flat like duckweed.) Does it have straight, dark brown roots? Azolla typically does.

Looks like azola.

Let me know when you have enough of it to ship. I want some and can't find any.

Could have floated in as a spore.

These are actually aquatic ferns.
