Question White cloud minnows in warm water? if not what else?

My tank currently has Boesemani rainbows, neon tetras, and pearl gouramis. I would love to add a school of white cloud minnows, but I know they are not tropical fish. What temp could all these fish do well in? (current temp is 78F) If it won't work, what fish could I do instead? I need something peaceful, 2" long, and something that won't make my wallet cry!!! LOL

White clouds max out at 72F, so I wouldn't add them to your tank. Not sure what else to suggest, but I hope you find something good!

White clouds will have a much faster metabolism in too-warm water. They'll be uncomfortable and they won't live for very long.

What size is the tank? If it's over 3' long, you could get emerald eye rasboras. They need lots of swimming space or they get aggressive, though.

My current project, a 65 gallon aquarium stocked with vernal pool fauna.

I have a 46gal, so it's 3' long. I just think that the rasboras are kind of blah, I like the white clouds cuz they look unique.
