Question Community Tank Fish

Hi I have a 29 gal fresh water tank. Guppies, tetras a pelca, albino cat and Kuly loaches. Is there any larger fish that would compatible with this tank? The tank is planted. I have had gouramies and they have died. Angels were a bully type of fish. What have all of you find that would work?

I plan on adding a couple German Blue Rams once my tank stabilizes. Not sure if you consider those big or not as they reach about 3", but a couple would work in a 29 gallon. And from what I have seen they are peaceful unless they are breeding.

If you're looking for energetic fish you could do giant danios. Work great in my 39g and stay towards the bottom

Giant danios are a bit large for a 30g, they'll bother everything.
How many of each species do you have?
Go to aqadvisor.com and use it to see if your tank has too much bio-load from all the fish.
Your gouramis all died? Did you try to keep more than one? Did they show any symptoms? Where did you get them?

My current project, a 65 gallon aquarium stocked with vernal pool fauna.
