29g planted tank thoughts and suggestions

These are some picture of my tropical community tank. Currently there are 5 juli cory cats, 4 serpae tetras, 4 neon tetras, a rainbow shark, and 6 ghost shrimp. So far the community tank seems to be well balanced. Would like to get some thoughts and opinions from others more experience with planted tanks an aquascaping.

5 juli cory cats- Social fish. If you want more, get a couple more.
4 serpae tetras- Schooling fish. May nip or harass the other fish. I would take them back. If you like this shape and color look into Red Phantoms. But 4 is not enough for a school.,
4 neon tetras- Get at least twice as many, and a dozen is better. 4 is not enough for a school.
a rainbow shark- I think this one will eat the shrimp. Good that you just got one, they can be territorial.
6 ghost shrimp- AKA 'snacks'

Its hard to see what you have there with the photo you've provided, take one that shows the full tank from head on so we can see.
With regards to aquascaping i think it's really all about what you like and prefer, there are many styles.
Google "simple aquascape" or something similar and when you find a tank you like examine the features of the scape such as substrate mounds or slopes, rock or wood positioning and the way plants were used to compliment it.
Use others peoples work for ideas and inspiration
