Sandfall question

I have my sandfall working now but all the sand is piling up in a hill in the middle of container when it falls from the pipe. How do I get it to even out and slide towards the pipe uptake? I'm using a plastic container about 8" long, 4" wide and 1.5" deep.

A longer tube for intake hidden underneath where it is piling up might work if it's a diy system and not a pre made decoration that can't be altered.

Thank you.

I think I have it figured out, finally.

I have rocks piled around the front and 2 sides with an opening in the center for the sand to fall through.

I put black Eco Complete around the sides of the aquarium and front and then poured more sand through the center. You can't see the center from the sides so it's basically piling up in the entire center now instead of just in the tray I put in.

I'll post pics when I get it planted and the water clears up.
