whitish/clear algae stuff?

It has occured in both my 10 and 2 1/2 galls now. I have since taken down the 10 but it is now occuring in the 2 1/2 and I have no clue what it is. I can try to get a picture... but does anyone know what it might be? I use the same water on my 29gall and have no issues. the tank specs are

2 1/2 gall bowfront
20watt CF 6,700k light
diy co2
to many plants to name... and no fish yet
any idea?
Thanks

I have it too, not so bad now though. When I first got my plants and my tank was new It was all over them. Now I got a few ghost shrimp and cory cats and its all gone =] I think it has to do with the tank not being completely cycled. One of those "Too much of one thing or not enough of another" type deals...
