Depends who you ask...
I don't think anyone would say it has no benefit, the EI crowd would say it isn't worth the money though as it is pretty dilute.
I'm using it while I investigate EI more closely.

Works, but you are paying for the water that they include, so paying for shipping costs based on the weight of the water, too.

Buy the actual active ingredients and add your own water.

Advantage, no fancy measuring, scooping weighing dry ferts, simple and pretty much impossible to mess up.
Disadvantage, expensive.

I personally stay away from dry ferts cause it's too confusing and I haven't found a idiots guide to dry ferts.

It's very simple, I use this:

10- 20 Gallon Aquariums
+/- 1/8 tsp KN03 (N) 3x a week
+/- 1/32 tsp KH2P04 (P) 3x a week
+/- 1/32 tsp (2ml) Trace Elements 3x a week
50% weekly water change

20-40 Gallon Aquariums
+/- tsp KN03 3x a week
+/- 1/16 tsp KH2P04 3x a week
+/- 1/16 tsp (5ml) Trace Elements 3x a week
50% weekly water change

40-60 Gallon Aquariums
+/- 1/2 tsp KN03 3x a week
+/- 1/8 tsp KH2P04 3x a week
+/- 1/8 (10ml) Trace Elements 3x a week
50% weekly water change

60 – 80 Gallon Aquariums
+/- 3/4 tsp KN03 3x a week
+/- tsp KH2P04 3x a week
+/- tsp (20ml) Trace Elements 3x a week
50% weekly water change

100 - 125 Gallon Aquarium
+/- 1 1/2 tsp KN03 3x a week
+/- tsp KH2P04 3x a week
+/- tsp (30ml) Trace Elements 3x a week
50% weekly water change

For Trace Elements, I use Plantex CSM+B. I'm running low tech so I dose once a week with good results. I use a simple kitchen measuring spoon with the following measurements:

TAD = 1/4 tsp
DASH = 1/12 tsp
PINCH = 1/16 tsp
SMIDGEN = 1/32 tsp
DROP = 1/64 tsp

I bought my Dry Ferts almost 2 years ago and still have plenty
