moving fish from tank to tank

I have two really nice breeding pairs of blue rams.

I have three tanks, 10, 20, 29 gallons.

10g is set up to try to raise some blue ram fry.

The 29g is the planted display tank, and I'd like to keep one pair in there at all times.

My question is, is there a way to keep water parameters very similar to prevent stress from swapping them back and forth every few weeks?

yep. buy a fish with a similar bioload to two rams, and keep them in the other tanks at all times.
for instance, if you have both pairs in the 29g, keep the other fish in the 20g tank until you need the rams there. make sure they are compatible though, so then you can have one pair of rams in each tank.

Helps to do regular partial water changes with the same source water, ie same KH and GH. Especially easy to control if you have an RO unit and reconstitute the water exactly the same every time. This should keep the TDS in close range depending on other aspects of each tank. You can keep them cycled the way demosthenes mentioned or keep an extra filter running on the occupied tank for a quick switch when you relocate. Some cycling can still happen that way but is easy to deal with if you keep an eye on it.
