Thumbs up "Going live" today...Any last minute suggestions??

Ok, so the time has come to flood my 55g after growing my HC emersed for 6 weeks. I think i have everything I need with the exception of the 4dkh solution for my drop checker, should be here soon. I have the whole pressurized setup, powerheads, DIY reactor, dry ferts, and Excel for the first few days as well.

Any last minute suggestions so I dont kill all my HC off!?!?! There wont be any fish in there for a bit until I get all my levels squared away. Please let me know if there's anything i should be on the lookout for.

Thanks in advance!!!

~ Jose

It'll die and then come back. Just be patient. Dose Excel. It loves that stuff.

in your experience, does it die off completely? ive read that some people have no problems going from emersed to submerged. well at least that what Tom said

Just depends. I've had batches that had zero problems acclimating.

I've had other batches that completely died...and then everything else in between.

Probably had something to do with how cycled the tank was with respect to the ammonia leakage of ADA AS.

goodluck! My emmerced HC died completely. However I have patch in potting soil which is growing. Soon I will transfer it over to the aquarium and flood it... PLEASE keep me updated on how the HC reacts to flooding.
