Just to understand!

Hi there,
few questions just to understand before doing anything in my tank
1- some of you has SOFT water and some has HARD, which is the best for fish/plants? and if I have soft water do I have to make it hard and If soft??
2- Rocks usually heavy, is there any limitation of weight to be inside the tank?? and is the weight of the rocks or any items inside the tank will change the water pressure on the wall(of the tank).. is there any risky to put too much rocks?? this is so far.. regards

1) Depends on your fish or plants. Some do well in soft, some do well in hard.
2) I'm sure there is a limit of how many rocks you can put in, but to scape an aquarium, you probably won't hit that limit. There was a video where someone stacked 80+ pounds in a 10 gallon aquarium and then stepped into it too.

As long as your water isn't extreme (tap water pH below 6.5 or above 7.5) you should be just fine with most plants and community fish.

My advice would be to start now with plants and livestock that will do fine with your current tap parameters, and wait till you have the basics down first if you want to branch out into more diffcult species down the road. But that's just my 2 cents
