Nice! My goodness that a lot of poo for one tank. I find that they are dirty, dirty fish. I had one ages ago and never again. I might cave though if I ever saw a zebra one for sale. Love those!

That is a lot of plecos for just one tank.

And how the heck did you get a L-46 free?

again.. the lfs employee is a friend of mine and hates the owners. he always hooks me up with fish when I want something. they have tons of nice plecos there.. the imperial was totally awesome! my blue spotted pleco is about 7" now. the mango pleco is really dark in color and awesome orange stripes on the dorsal and tail fins. I will try to get some pics today if possible.. so don't bust my b lls on this.. I have been working on my house weekends and evenings. resided my entire house for next to nothing compared to what it costs to have it done.

I would like to see a pic as well.

My LFS carries L46 but they are F1 juvies, and they are 150.00 a piece.

Nice plecos. As much as I like my BN plecos (2 in my 72 gal) I sometimes wish I'd waited to get some puppies that look like these. Photos when you can, pls. Do most of these stay small like the BN ones do?

Best get all you can from that LFS cause if this keeps up they'll be out of business soon.

Since there are so many plecos, they're named by L-#. Started from a magazine (or two?) a while back.

Here's a listing: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog...de=l&thumbs=16

I do not think there is a question on whether a store will carry them, but more of getting them (especially a L-46) for free. Those are not cheap fish, and any decent owner will come to a conclusion of missing fish and/or money. I am not saying you didn't get them, don't take it that way. I just cannot believe a person would risk their job with that. Yeah, a guppy here or there, or if someone is buying a lot of something, adding 1 or 2, but when you talk $$$......

this kid hates his job and doesn't care if he gets fired. he watches the owners take advantage of people like me. I went in one time to get some fish.. one employee says that they are such and such a price. when I went to get them (same visit) he told me a total different price. the first employee told me that he was trying to get more money out of me because he knew I usually spent alot. the guy that tried to rip me off is the owners son. so I don't feel bad.
