Fertilizers.....

What is the best brand of liquid and tablet fertilizers? The tablets I would put at the roots of my swords, but for the rest of the plants, crypts, anubias, bolbitis and hairgrass I would use a liquid fertilizer....so what brands are the best?

For tablets I use Wonder-Gro. I break them up and put little pieces all over the tank for all the root plants. I use dry ferts for any water column fertilization.

Many people use dry chemicals for dosing using the following EI dosing plan: https://www.plantedtank.net/forums/wa...-regimes_.html

If you have a smaller aquarium, Seachem's line of plant nutrients are fine. Here's a Seachem Dosing Calculator: http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/f...tor-chart.html

The Wonder-Gro tablets that cah925 mentioned are fine. Seachem's Flourish Tabs and Tropica's root tabs are fine too.

There are ADA's line of products too, but they are a bit costly.

If dry ferts aren't your cup of tea(and honestly, they are easier than ANY liquid I've tried, then I'd go with www.pfertz.com They are my fav liquid fert, but are pretty spendy--thus the reason I use dry ferts now. 20 bucks will last me over a year, as where 20 bucks won't even get you started with good liquid ferts.
