The ABC's of Shipping

Can somebody explain the steps involved in shipping some Assasin snails. I will use Kordon breather bags and I assume Priority Mail. Would I use the Flat Rate small box or is there an accepted package for shipping a small quantity of snails? Should I put a piece of plant or anything else in the bag? I'm not trying to start my own business here. I have a surplus of snails and don't want to have to reinvent the wheel. Any other pointers would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

I received a killer snail shipment long ago and all they used was a ziploc, wet paper towel and packaging tape. Double bagged.

Suspend the bag in wadded up newspapers or foam peanuts that you recycled from deliveries. Seal the box.

Ship Priority at USPS.com and click insurance. Automatically you get $50 insurance and free tracking. Skip waiting in lines.

Cheers!

Thank you webskipper. I appreciate the reply. Certainly this type of question doesn't garner the same enthusiasm as, "what is the best canister filter?" or "what is the best LED light," but it was a legitimate question none the less.

Sure. That's what we are here for.

None of us like receiving dry aquatic animals and plants.

Cheers!
