Sometimes it is difficult to find locally and if you do it will probably be expensive. I buy it at Dr Foster and Smith because I can get a 2 liter bottle for under $20. A LFS would probably sell a 500ML bottle for that price.

Mine doesn't. It seems petsmart has a lot of "room" in what they decide to carry. I order online, as it is much, much, cheaper. If there is any chance you might need it down the road, by the 2L size.

I think that is a broad statement that isn't necessarily true. Also, buying online in 2L size is way cheaper.

How do you get a 2 liter bottle for under 20 dollars, when the link you gave shows 26 dollars, plus shipping that runs about 10 bucks?

Yea, I couldn't find that either.

Cheapest I've found with a quick Google search is $36 for 4L, plus about $10 shipping for a grand total of $46 for 4L.

It was on sale at the time of the post. They were running a big store wide sale at that time.

I'll keep my eye open for that, can't beat less than 10 bucks for a liter!

This is a nice thread for using alternatives to Excel that have the same active ingredient.

considering a 250ml bottle is 7.99 at the only lfs that carries it in my area(and only sometimes), that works out to be 3.1 cents an ML.

As where with the two liter: 1.3 cents per ML if bought from drs. We'll give it 1.8 cents per ml if you have to pay for shipping of 10 bucks.

Doesn't seem like much, but it is double the price in comparison.

My only concern is the shelf life. Upon opening most "health care" cleaners are good for 14-30 days. Now does this apply in this use? I'm not sure. I know that they are no longer considered safe to use as a sterilizer at that point though, as many bacteria and virus can survive it.
