A Few Questions

I have just a few question, so bear with me if they seem obvious. My first question is how big of an amano style aquarium do you think I could do with a budget of 620 dollars. My next question is do you think one or two diy yeast c02 generators like the ones on aquatic eden could produce enough c02 to do an amano tank. Lastly I was wondering if a uv sterilizer really does make the water crystal clear (Assuming the tank is not overstocked). Thanks!!

It depends. Do you want everything ADA or just the tank. I don't know of any place that sells ADA stuff around Seattle so you will have to get it shipped.

If you don't specifically want ADA brand 620 is a decent budget. You have to decide how much light you want (high or low) because that will change how much you spend.

Microns make the water clearer than UV in my experience.

It depends on how big of a tank you have before you can start guessing on how much yeast will work but generally no. Pressurized tanks are the way to go if you are really trying to reproduce an Amano tank.

First- welcome aboard!
Second - check shipping rates
Third-DIY CO2 on an ADA? I like your moxie!
Fourth - I would not want to know how much an ADA UV unit would cost.

But serously I don't know the answers to your question. But I AM glad that you joined the forum! Honest. Others will certainly chime in on this.

Oh, I'm sorry. I must not have been specific enough. I meant I wanted to try to recreate the basic sucess of amanos aquariums and aquascapes in a amazonian biotope tank, but not necessarily using his products. Again, sorry I wasn't clear. Thanks though
