Starting first Planted tank

I do my reading homework for the last three days on here and other forum.
I plan to set up a low tech low maintain with some tetra, two angle and one algae eater pleco. I have a 37g cube (24Lx18Dx21H), Rena Xp3 filter, 150W heater, air pump a couple here and their stuff

Now here is my question:

What is the best substrate that fit my need? Azoo plant grower, ADA soil, Eco-Complete
How much substrate do I need to three inch deep bed?
What is the best/right LED light?

What is the beginning/hardy plant and live stock that does not require a lot care?
