What type of stone is this?

Hey all, saw these stones in front of someones house... I think they will look great in a tank, however not sure what they are called and the guy didnt know either. he said "they were there when he moved in". If anyone knows what they are and whether they are inert or not, I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you.

Rocks are sometimes like people! Not always possible to put an exact name on them and certainly not by just looking?
But as a guess from afar, I would say you have one rock which is likely to be a very white limestone. Limestone can vary a whole bunch depending on what sediment it comes from. Second rock to the right of the white fellow screams sand stone. Note the various different colors as the sand was laid down in layers. At times the dust and sand had different colors. Is it gritty like sand pressed tightly together?
The red rocks of Sedona come to mind.
