Where do you have your CO2 tanks refilled?

Beer supply places will fill them also. There is one "near" my house that will fill it while you wait so I can keep my shiny new cylinder, but most places will exchange them out so you'll get an ugly bottle.

Sports Authority (Formerly Garts Sports) will fill paintball sized CO2 bottles but not anything over 20 ounces.

Interesting thread. I bought my pressurized CO2 system over a week ago. Got one that uses the paintball canisters.

Well I dont live near welding supply places or beer distributers. Called 3 sporting goods store. They all said no.

Dicks sporting goods said they do it. Too bad its an hour away. **** that.

So my CO2 system has been sitting around collecting dust. With my schedule I cant really drive an hour to get a measly 24oz canister filled. WTF?

sean--return your co2 system and buy one that uses normal tanks. Get a 5lb tank and you can get it filled at any AIRGAS, or other welding supply shops. there are Airgas locations everywhere. They can't fill a paintball tank though.

Your right. I just might need to do this. Wish I thought of that. Didn't think getting paintball canisters refilled would be a big pain in the ass!

Fire extinguisher company, $11 to fill a 10 lb., $8 to fill a five. The place I go will fill while I wait and doesn't swap tanks.

Damn. Well after 3 weeks of collecting dust I finally drove the hour to get my 24oz filled. 5 bucks. That's a rip off huh?

Yup, and thus you should get a normal setup. The paintball tanks just aren't worth it unless you have no other option for space.
