What a tangled mess!!!!!!

I received an order of 100 rotala sp green stems today - they are so entangled, I have no idea how to plant them!!!!!! Picture attached.

Do I have to separate them and plant stem by stem? If so, how far apart should I place the stems?

If not, how can I get these planted in a way to keep em happy?

Please help!

Put them in a bigger bucket or in a big tank and they should be a little less crowded and easier to separate out.

Yes, they'll do best if you plant them stem by stem, though you may be able to get away with little groupings of maybe 2-3 stems? I'd plant them about 1/2 to an inch apart, you want to leave a little room for light to get to the bottom leaves so that the plants don't shed those leaves.

I've received big "wads" pf tangled plants before and found that, like LL said, submersing them in a bucket will allow them to become buoyant and float around a bit, making them much easier to separate.

i got some rotala green today, i actually grabbed like 3-6 stems and planted them in limited space. if you have the space, go with 1 by 1, i started that way at first but ran outta room
