How many tanks do you have?

It seems that most of the members have multiple tanks. Are they lo tech or CO2?

How do you keep up with cleaning them?

I only have one but have another on the horizon. This is addicting!

2 tanks in my living room, 23g and 48g both high-tech

2 emersed grow tanks, 6g and 20g

1 tank in office, 23g reef

The planted tanks are easy maintenance when it comes to water changes. I have a PVC bar on the outtake which splits into garden hose connector on one end and canister input on the other. So for water change all I do is attach garden hose and turn on the ball valve and water my plants in the front yard. To refill I have a PVC L contraption with garden hose connector and spray bar on the other end and I just turn on the spigget.

For my reef I have a PVC L contraption which has a mag drive 3 pump attached on one end and spray bar on the other with another end attachment for siphoning water out. So for taking water out I drop the mag drive end on the tank and put a 5 gal bucket on the other end and turn it on. To put new salt water I just reverse and attach spray bar attachment and fill it up with new water.

I have what's listed in my signature plus a 2G bowl, 3G and 1.5G flare vases and a variety of jars ranging from 1 liter to 4.25 liters that I'm setting up to grow out different mosses. Plus a never-opened Fluval Spec II and an empty 55G in my garage. Trying to get my other projects under control before I even think of tackling those others.

Oh, and I rarely ever do water changes in my 29 and 12. And they're pretty overstocked too (stupid guppies), but the plant volume and filtration are enough to keep the parameters stable. I just clean the filters periodically and the pre-filter sponges once a week and top off as needed. My 10G tanks get sporadic WC's, and my smaller tanks get 25% changed every 2 - 3 weeks. Mine are all pretty low-tech. I have DIY CO2 on one and a couple of small pressurized systems that I play around with. I need to pay more attention, because a couple are algae nightmares. I'm trying to reach that nirvana where the fauna eats the algae or keeps it at bay, and the plants eat the waste from the fauna.
